Sugriva crowned

After the last rites, the vanaras went to Rama. Hanumana said to Rama, Sugriva has gained the kingdom due to you, and he wants to worship you. Please come into the palace such that Sugriva can serve you.

Rama said he was under promise and would not enter any palace for now. He would be able to do so, when his fourteen years of exile were over. To Sugriva, Rama said - Go to your kingdom and rule in peace. Make Angada the crown prince. Tara is very wise. Please make her your chief adviser and listen to her. This is the month of Shravana, the season of rains. Rule in peace for sometime. Come back to me immediately once the rains are over.

Sugriva was then crowned the king of Kishkindhya. He was bathed with the waters of the oceans. Angada was made the crown prince. All started shouting the glory of Rama.

Rama and Lakshmana went to the nearby Malyavan mountain. They stayed there, on the peak of the mountain. There were wonderful lakes and fruit trees on the mountain. Rama was sad to this beauty. He was missing Sita.

While Sugriva in his palace, slept on golden cots, Rama on the mountain slept on leaves and twigs.

When the rains started, the surrounding areas became green. Rama was grieving for Sita.
