Rama and the sages of Chitrakoota

After Bharata left, Rama, Lakshmana and Sita stayed at Chitrakoota. One day they discovered the sages staying there, whispering among themselves. Rama asked what was the matter.
The rishis said they were afraid of Ravana's brothers, Khara and Dushana, of whom Khara was the elder one.  Their followers were creating a rampage in the ashramas. They were stopping sacrifices from happening. They were stealing the fruits and flowers gathered for worship.
The sages said they were planning to leave the places as they were getting tired of the rakshashas.

Rama said if the sages left, how would stay alone there. With a beautiful wife along, the forest was not a place for being alone.

The sages adamant, left the place.
